Adoption Process

Submit an application

To be considered as a pet parent here at Safe Harbour, you must submit a kitten application. If you are approved as a potential pet parent, you will be notified via email.

Reserve your kitten

Kittens are open for reservation beginning week 7 and will be released to go to their new homes at 12 weeks. When kittens are available you will be able to reserve a kitten in your name with a $1000 deposit. The deposit will be deducted from the final cost. Deposits are non refundable and non transferable. The balance is due 10 days before release. We accept Zelle, Venmo and PayPal.

Sign your adoption agreement

Once you reserve your kitten an electronic adoption contract will be sent to you and must be signed at least 10 days prior to release by the purchaser and Safe Harbour Cattery. The contract includes conditions of sale and our 3 Year Health Guarantee. On release new pet parents will receive with their kitten

• Your go home goodie bag

• Health Records

• Two sets of FVRCP vaccinations

• Negative FIV/FELV test results

• Deworming

• Negative internal parasite testing

• Microchip with free life time registration for your kitten

• Spayed/Neuter before kitten is released.

Delivery Options

• Free Pick up at Raleigh Airport

• Free pick up at an agreed upon location within the triangle area of central North Carolina

• If you need delivery we can recommend a pet transporter
